Our conference this year was a sell-out with over 170 delegates attending the event at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough.
Dr Alan Mantooth from the University of Arkansas kicked off the proceedings with his presentation on the Emerging Trends in Silicon Carbide Electronics. Dr Roland Rupp from Infineon Technologies Ag started the afternoon session with a presentation entitled SiC for Power - now it's Time to Take Off!
Our keynote speakers on day two featured a presentation by Stephen Chilton from Sevcon with the theme Vehicle Solutions for an Electrified World, while Dr Stuart Calverley from Magnomatics set the scene on Technology Transfer.
Updates from the Centre's theme leads and cross-theme leads gave delegates an insight into the latest research being carried out by Centre partners.
On day one delegates gave their views in workshops on the future direction of the work of the Centre, while a lively debate on what the UK will need to do to succeed in the global power electronics market concluded the conference.
There were plenty of networking opportunities, with poster displays and exhibitors from companies and Centre projects, not to mention our ever popular BBQ.
